Some excellent pictures of the our latest carrier operating with the US Navy. These are available on Daily Mail online. The best picture is of 2 F18 super hornets carrying out a a flypast. So as you can imagine I am very thin, lanky and lack any form of muscle or definition so feel very conscious as if everyone is looking at how weak I am. So I struggle with the gym. Are there any...Pre-joining fitness […]

  • Average Length time spent in Dockyard Refit
by invalid@example.com (Tui Bird) on October 21, 2017 at 1:23 pm

I would be grateful to know the average time spent in the Dockyard on refitting the older diesel boats --like the 'A' , the 'T' , the 'P&O' . I stood by a full strip down refit of AMPHION in 1953 . We were snorting on our way from Scotland to Portsmouth , when the No 8 cylinder starboard blew up --stripped timing gear ,so as we were due to go into the Dockyard anyway in 4 months ,they it moved forward . Everything came out --ballast pump , compressors and so on to be refurbished . And of...Average Length time spent in Dockyard Refit […]
